About Chess

AI Factory's Chess is a free chess game for Android that has been awarded as the top developer and editor's choice for several years. It has been ranked as the best among the 600+ chess apps listed. The game is suitable for both beginners and experts, as it features 12 play levels, casual and pro modes, and a chess tutor that recommends a piece to move. It also has an option to analyze moves and show CPU thinking for level 3+. The game provides achievements and leaderboards and ELO rating based on the results against CPU in pro mode. It also has a review game mode, load/save game files, and PGN export. The game is designed for both tablet and phone, supporting landscape mode for all tablets and many phones too. It also has a 2 player hot-seat and online mode. The game has a unique "human-like" style, as it uses the Treebeard Chess engine, which is also used in Microsoft's MSN Chess. The game allows the user to choose between a large selection of 2D and 3D boards and piece sets. The free version of the game is supported by 3rd party ads, which may use internet connectivity, and therefore subsequent data charges may apply. The photos/media/files permission is required to allow the game to save game data to external storage, and is sometimes used to cache ads.
