About Yurekuru Call
Yurekuru Call is a popular application in Japan that provides users with Earthquake Early Warning notifications. With about 5 million users, the app utilizes the Earthquake Early Warning system from the Japan Meteorological Agency to notify users of impending earthquakes. The app sends push notifications with countdowns to provide a sense of security. It also provides information on tsunamis, including warnings and cancellations. Users can also access a seismic intensity map to see the shaking in their neighborhood and receive information on tsunamis. Additionally, the app allows users to share their experiences and contribute comments and icons on a map.
The app also offers a feature called "Safety Confirmation" where users can post whether they are safe or have been affected by the earthquake. This information can be searched by name or phone number, with the displayed phone number partially hidden for privacy. Yurekuru Call also provides useful knowledge about disaster prevention in its "+sonae" section, which includes illustrations and allows users to share this knowledge. The app allows users to customize their notification settings, including choosing from 2,000 forecast regions and predicted seismic intensities.
Yurekuru Call also offers a premium plan for a monthly fee. This plan includes benefits such as high-speed Earthquake Early Warning notifications, an increased number of earthquake cases in the list, GPS functionality for multiple locations, the ability to hide ads, and voice navigation for notifications. Users can cancel the premium plan through the Google Play Store. It is important to note that uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel the premium plan. The app also has a FAQ section for inquiries and provides links to its Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
