About Web Video Cast | Browser to TV
Web Video Caster® is a mobile application that enables users to watch videos from their favorite websites on their TV. The app supports a wide range of media formats, including movies, TV shows, live streams of news, sports, and IPTV. It also allows users to cast local videos, photos, and audio files from their phone. The app detects subtitles on the web page and allows users to use their own subtitles or search for them on OpenSubtitles.org. The app supports popular streaming devices such as Chromecast, Roku, DLNA receivers, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Smart TVs, PlayStation 4, and more.
To start streaming, users need to browse the web or local file explorer to find the video, audio, or photo they want to cast to their TV. If the video or audio is on a website, they can try to play it inside the web page. If it is a photo, they can long press on it to cast it. Then, they can connect to their streaming device to cast the video, music, or picture. The premium features of the app include no in-app advertising, bookmarks, home page setting, video history, queue, homescreen shortcut, and most visited site. However, these features do not apply universally to all streaming devices.
The app has some limitations and disclosures. It is not associated with any web media providers and does not have control over the content they provide. It does not support tab casting like the Chromecast extension for the PC web browser. The app cannot fix issues that arise on the server side such as failure to play or buffering. Refunds are only issued within 24 hours of purchase. The app requires certain permissions such as phone state, Wi-Fi connection information, photos/media/files, in-app purchases, wake-lock, accounts/identity, and location.
If users have any questions or support issues, they can contact the app's user community or website contact form.
