About Thermometer - Indoor & Outdoor

The Thermometer app is a useful tool for measuring the ambient room temperature or outside temperature. It features a vintage thermometer look with both analog and digital readouts, as well as Celsius and Fahrenheit scales. Additionally, users can choose between an indoor or outdoor option. The app also offers an animated weather background option that displays the current weather conditions outside. However, it's important to note that while the app can measure and display the ambient temperature, most devices do not have a dedicated ambient temperature sensor. Therefore, the measured and displayed temperature is often the temperature of the device's internal electronics or battery. To obtain an accurate reading of the actual ambient temperature, users should start the app right after waking their device from standby mode, after it has been sitting for at least an hour. The Thermometer app's limitation is not the app's fault, and users can still measure the actual ambient room temperature to an accuracy of a degree by using this method. The outdoor temperature and weather information is provided by the Meteorologisk institutt of Norway NRK weather web service, which is accessible at YR.NO. Overall, the Thermometer app is a helpful tool for those who want to keep track of the temperature in their surroundings.
