About NHS App

The NHS App is a mobile application owned and operated by the National Health Service (NHS) in England. It is a secure and easy-to-use platform that allows users to access a range of NHS services on their smartphones or tablets. To use the app, users must be aged 13 or over and registered with a GP surgery in England. The app can also be accessed from a desktop or laptop computer by visiting the NHS website. The NHS App offers a range of services, including getting advice about coronavirus, ordering repeat prescriptions, booking and managing appointments at your GP surgery, accessing health information and advice, viewing your health record securely, registering your organ donation decision, and finding out how the NHS uses your data. If your GP surgery or hospital offers other services in the NHS App, you may also be able to message your GP surgery or health professional online, consult a GP or health professional through an online form, and access health services on behalf of someone you care for. One of the key features of the NHS App is the ability to get your NHS COVID Pass. This allows users to view and download their COVID Pass for travel abroad, which shows their coronavirus vaccination details or test results. Users can also check their COVID-19 vaccine record, which shows information about the type of vaccine they had and the date they had it. To use the NHS App, users need to set up an NHS login and prove their identity. The app then securely connects to information from their GP surgery. Users can also use fingerprint, face, or iris recognition to log in to the app instead of using a password and security code.
