About LocalCast for Chromecast & TV

LocalCast is a popular casting solution for Android devices that allows users to send videos, music, and pictures from their phone or tablet to a variety of devices, including Chromecast, SmartTVs, Roku, Nexus Player, and more. The app has unique features such as zoom, rotate, and pan, NAS access, and subtitles with Opensubtitle.org integration. Users can also stream sound to their phone using wireless headphones, although this feature is still in beta and may not work all the time due to network delays. The app is free and ad-supported, but users can purchase the Pro version to unlock all features, including no ads, search, and video preview. LocalCast supports a variety of formats and codecs, but users should check the FAQ if they encounter any issues. The app also allows users to rotate, zoom, and pan pictures easily on a Chromecast from the "Now playing" screen. The app gathers anonymous usage statistics through Firebase Analytics to find bugs and enhance future user experience, but users can opt-out by deactivating this option in the app's settings. Overall, LocalCast is a versatile and user-friendly app that offers a wide range of casting options for Android users. With its unique features and support for various devices, it is a great choice for anyone looking to stream media from their phone or tablet to their TV or other devices. The app's free version is ad-supported, but users can upgrade to the Pro version to unlock additional features and remove ads.
