About Ice Report

Ice Report is an app that allows users to report on the thickness of lake ice in Northern climates. The app makes it easier for fishermen to get information about ice conditions, which is crucial for their safety. Without the app, users would have to search for forums or groups to get a report on ice for fishing. The app also allows avid fishermen and resorts to post ice conditions for everyone to see. New reports are dark in color, while reports older than 3 days are marked light in color. Ice Report defaults to showing reports made in the last 7 days. To use the app, users simply need to login and check out the map. They can submit a report by pressing the + sign and selecting the ice thickness they measured at that location. The app uses the user's current GPS location, so reports should only be submitted while fishing. Premium users can place icons without GPS. It is important to note that the lake ice data is submitted by users and there is no guarantee of accuracy. Ice Report encourages everyone to be safe on frozen lakes and to check with their local Department of Natural resources for safety information. The app is a useful tool for fishermen, but caution should always be exercised when venturing out onto frozen lakes. Overall, Ice Report is a helpful app for fishermen in Northern climates. It allows users to easily report on ice conditions and provides a platform for avid fishermen and resorts to share their reports with the community. While the app is a useful tool, users should always prioritize safety and exercise caution when venturing out onto frozen lakes.
