About Argo - Boating Navigation

Argo is a navigation and social boating app that is free to download and use. It allows users to find and route to new destinations anywhere in North America, track their boat trips, see boating friends on the water, and get real-time local knowledge from other boaters. The app offers unlimited NOAA/USACE charts, auto and manual routing, a captain's log to plan and save boat trip details, current weather conditions, and social features to connect with friends and club members on the water. The premium upgrade features include offline charts, extended 7-day marine weather forecast with daily and hourly conditions, and wind and tide information. The app provides various navigation and routing options, including auto or manual routing, different map views, clean interface with easy-to-use map icons, depth and contour information, trip planning with distance and estimated time of arrival, voyage tracking, record track, and a captain's log to save routes, tracks, and voyages. Users can also search for points of interest such as marinas, restaurants, anchorages, fuel docks, and ramps. Argo also offers local boating knowledge through real-time reports from other boaters, place details for fuel, amenities, and transient dock information, local reviews and photos from other boaters, and the ability to add missing places. The app includes social boating features such as connecting with friends, searching for boaters by affiliation or friend suggestions, seeing where other Argo users are on the water, messaging other boaters, and sharing voyages, photos, and updates through a social feed. The app is compatible with Android phones and tablets. Argo aims to build an active boating community within the app where users can turn to for navigation advice, local knowledge, destination reviews, and more. Users can share their favorite voyages, leave reviews on favorite places, and drop local report pins to help fellow boaters. The app welcomes user feedback and suggestions to improve the boating experience.
