About Accurate Altimeter

The Altimeter for Android is a popular app that allows users to estimate altitude without the need for an internet connection. The app offers three different methods for altitude estimation, ensuring that users can always get a reliable measure. The app also includes historical charts that allow users to see their elevation gain during excursions, as well as maps with peaks' names and contour lines. Users can pick elevation from any point on the map and view pictures with impressed place name and altitude. The three methods for altitude estimation include satellites triangulation, taking the ground elevation at the user's current position from a global elevation map, and using the pressure sensor of the user's device (if available). The pressure sensor calibrates itself on pressure from the nearest weather station to improve accuracy. As additional PRO features, users can compensate for systematic error of the pressure sensor, download a larger area of the global elevation map, record altitude without opening the app, pick elevation on the map with no limitation, and have no advertising. Overall, the Altimeter for Android is a useful app for anyone who needs to estimate altitude without an internet connection. With its three different methods for altitude estimation and additional PRO features, users can be sure to get a reliable measure of altitude during their excursions. The app's historical charts, maps with peaks' names and contour lines, and pictures with impressed place name and altitude also make it a great tool for outdoor enthusiasts.
